Idle Time-out

Use the Idle Time-out property page to specify how long LDAP connections can remain idle before they are closed.

Getting to the Idle Time-out property page

  1. In the Administrator window, choose a site or server, and then choose Protocols.
  2. Double-click LDAP (Directory) Site Defaults to configure site LDAP defaults, or LDAP (Directory) Settings to configure a server's LDAP settings.
  3. Select the Idle Time-out tab.

Setting Idle Time-out Options

Use the Idle Time-out property page to close LDAP connections after a specified interval of inactivity.

  1. Select the Idle Time-out tab.
  2. Select an option.

Option Description
Do not close idle connections Idle connections never close.
Close idle connections Idle connections close after the time period specified in the Time-out (minutes) box.
Time-out (minutes) The amount of time in minutes a connection can remain idle before being closed. The default is 10 minutes.
