Microsoft Mail Connector Setup

Setting up the Microsoft Mail Connector to communicate with MS Mail (PC) postoffices includes the following:

Configure the Microsoft Mail Connector interchange.
Configure the Microsoft Mail Connector general properties.
Set up an MS Mail postoffice connection.
Configure an MTA.
Configure the Microsoft Mail Connector in the MS Mail Administrator program.
Start the Microsoft Mail Connector services.

Configuring the Microsoft Mail Connector interchange and the general connector properties is the same for LAN, asynchronous, and X.25 connections. However, setting up a connection and configuring an MTA instance is unique for each connection type.

You must have the Microsoft Mail Connector installed on your Microsoft Exchange Server before proceeding with the connector set up.
