Quick Start

To set up the minimum configuration requirements for a LAN-connected Microsoft Mail Connector (PC), use the following list of procedures in the order in which they appear.

Task Description

Configure the Connector Interchange property page. In the Connector Interchange property page, assign an administrator's mailbox.

Configure the Connections property page. In the Connections property page, create a LAN connection to the MS Mail (PC) postoffice.

Configure the Connector MTAs property page. In the Connector MTAs property page, configure a Connector MTA for servicing LAN-connected MS Mail (PC) postoffices.

Define the MS Mail (PC) postoffices the Connector MTA will service. In the Connector MTAs property page, specify the MS Mail (PC) postoffices the Connector MTA will service.

Start the MS Mail (PC) MTA service. Start the MS Mail (PC) MTA service from Control Panel.

Test the connection. Send a mail message from a Microsoft Exchange Client to an MS Mail (PC) recipient. Send a message from an MS Mail (PC) client to a Microsoft Exchange Server recipient.
