Override Properties

Use the Override property page when the service account of the local site lacks service account permissions for the remote site.

Getting to the Override property page

  1. In the Administrator window, choose Connections.
  2. Double-click the Site Connector to be modified.
  3. Select the Override tab.

Connecting Using a Different Account

If a target server does not have a Windows NT Server trust relationship with the local site, it may be necessary to provide access permissions in order for the message transfer agents (MTAs) to send mail. You can override the NT user account you used to log on to your local Microsoft Exchange Server computer.

Note   To avoid any permissions-related problems, use the Microsoft Exchange Server service account for the remote site.

  1. Select the Override tab.
  2. Under Connect as, type the user information.
