Use the General property page to view and modify information for a public folder (such as the display name or the alias name).
Note The Administrator program enables you to modify properties only for existing folders. To create public folders, you must use Microsoft Outlook.
The Address Book display name is the name of the public folder as it appears in the Address Book. You can set the display name to be the same as the folder name, or you can specify another name.
Option | Description |
---|---|
Same as folder name | When selected, the folder name in the Address Book will be the same as the actual folder name. |
Use this name | When selected, you can type a different name for the folder that will appear in the Address Book. |
You can also specify an alias name for a selected public folder. The alias name can be up to 64 characters. It can be used to address messages posted to the selected public folder.
You can apply the properties of a selected top-level public folder to all subfolders in a single operation by selecting specific properties to be propagated. You should verify that the properties are set correctly on the selected folder before you propagate them to the subfolders.
