Limiting Channel Access to Invited Users

Complete the following steps to limit access to a persistent channel to members who are explicitly invited to join the channel.

To limit channel access to invited users

1. From the Chat Service Manager utility, select a chat server under Microsoft Exchange Chat Service in the left pane.
2. Create the persistent channel, or select Channels (Rooms) in the left pane, and then select a channel in the right pane.
3. From the Action menu, choose Properties.
4. In the Access property sheet, select the Invitation only check box, and then choose OK.
