About Microsoft Management Console

Microsoft Management Console (MMC) provides a common framework in which you can logically organize and perform management tasks for your network. MMC looks and works much like Windows NT Explorer. This section presents the additional concepts you need to create and use consoles to manage your network.

This section contains:

• Overview of MMC: Tells what MMC is.
• MMC Basics: Describes the concepts and terminology of MMC.
• Benefits of MMC: Describes the advantages of using MMC to administer your network, users, and computers.
