Setting Up Windows NT Server for RAS Connectivity

This appendix describes how to configure Microsoft Windows NT Server version 4.0 and Microsoft Exchange Server to run the Dynamic RAS Connector using Transport Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).

Note To avoid problems with name resolution, Microsoft Exchange Server computers using the Dynamic RAS Connector should not have local area network (LAN) connectivity to each other. If a LAN connection has already been established, restart the servers to clear any cached connectivity information.

You should also ensure that Windows NT Server and Microsoft Exchange Server have been updated to the latest Service Pack levels.
