Configuring NNTP Clients

To connect to a Microsoft Exchange Server computer running NTTP, you must specify the following information on the NNTP client:

An NNTP account name and password (unless anonymous connections are used).
An NNTP server name.

You can also configure NNTP clients to support SSL when connecting to Microsoft Exchange Server computers that support SSL.

Because NNTP clients vary, the steps for configuring clients to connect to a Microsoft Exchange Server computer running NTTP are different for each client. For information about how to configure the Microsoft Internet News client that is included with Microsoft Internet Explorer version 3.0, see "Sample NNTP Client Configuration" later in this chapter.
