MTA Transport Stack Installation

Before you install a RAS MTA transport stack, the network software must be installed on the server.

For communications over public telephone, X.25 packet assembly/disassembly (PAD), or Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) networks, you can install one RAS transport stack on a Microsoft Exchange Server. This transport stack works with the RAS network software running on a Windows NT Server computer.

Use the following steps to install the MTA transport stack.

1. In the Administrator window, choose Servers, and then choose a server.
2. From the File menu, choose New Other, and then choose MTA Transport Stack.
3. In the Type box, select RAS MTA Transport Stack.



4. In the Server box, select the server on which to install the transport stack, and then choose OK.
