Creating Address Book Views

To create an Address Book view, you must specify an Address Book view name and define the attributes that will be used to create the containers (groupings that you want to put recipient objects in). You must complete the General property page, and then select at least one attribute from the Group By property page to create an Address Book view.

Complete the following procedure to create the Address Book view.

  1. From the File menu in the Administrator window, choose New Other.
  2. Choose Address Book Views.
  3. In the General property page, type a name in the Display name box.
  4. In the Directory name box, type a name.
  5. Select the Group By tab.
  6. Select an attribute from the Group items by box that you want to group recipient objects by.
  7. Choose Apply, and then choose OK.

Option Description
Display name Type a maximum of 256 alphanumeric characters, which can include spaces and special characters. If no name is provided, the system prompts for a value.
Directory name Type a maximum of 64 characters.
