Distribution List Membership for Recipients

A distribution list is a collection of recipients that are grouped together and addressed as a single recipient. Individual recipients can be members of several distribution lists. The set of distribution lists to which a recipient belongs is called the recipient's distribution list membership.

You can use the Distribution Lists property page to specify the distribution list membership for a recipient.

Getting to the mailbox Distribution Lists property page

  1. In the Administrator window, choose a recipients container or an Address Book view container.
  2. Double-click the mailbox, custom recipient, or public folder you want to configure.
  3. Select the Distribution Lists tab.

Adding Recipients to a Distribution List

You can add recipients to distribution lists.

  1. Select the Distribution Lists tab.
  2. Choose Modify, and then select a distribution list that you want to add this recipient to.
  3. Choose Add, and then choose OK.

Removing Recipients from a Distribution List

You can remove recipients from distribution lists.

  1. Select the Distribution Lists tab.
  2. Choose Modify.
  3. In the Distribution List Members box, select a recipient to remove, and then press DELETE.
  4. Choose OK.
