Importing LAN Manager and Windows NT Account Information

After you have extracted information for LAN Manager and Windows NT accounts, you import the user accounts to Microsoft Exchange Server by using the Directory Import command (Tools menu).

Note   During directory import, the name of the currently logged on server replaces the default ~Server text in the Home-Server field. To specify another server, use a text editor to replace the default ~Server text with the appropriate server name.

1. From the Tools menu in the Administrator window, choose Directory Import.
2. Choose Import File and specify the file that contains the extracted account information.
3. Choose Create Windows NT accounts to create user accounts automatically when the mailboxes are imported.
4. Choose Import.
