General Properties

Use the MTA Site Configuration General property page to enter a display and enable message tracking.

Getting to the MTA Site Configuration General property page

1. In the Administrator window, choose Configuration.
2. Double-click MTA Site Configuration.
3. Select the General tab.

Defining the Display Name

You use the General property page to define the display name for the MTA Site Configuration object. The display name identifies the MTA in the Administrator window. The default display name is MTA Site Configuration.

1. Select the General tab.
2. Type a display name.

Option	Description
Display name	Type a maximum of 256 alphanumeric characters, which can include spaces and special characters. If no name is provided, the system prompts for a value.
Directory name	This name is defined at installation and cannot be changed.

Message Tracking for the MTA

Use message tracking to follow the delivery of messages processed within a site. You can track messages processed by the MTA and sent to remote servers, remote sites, and foreign messaging systems.
