These are the ones that show you how the cables are laid out in the car.

E-Body Clock (Non Rally)

Postby cv70chall » 24 Mar 2007 14:30

I just recently got my e-body clock back from AutoInstruments who did the quartz conversion and I need some wiring expertise.
My 1970 Challenger did NOT come with the clock- only the delete plate.
Is the clock wiring already behins the dash on the harness?
And if so, does the quartz conversion mean the wiring will be different, as I must assume that the mechanical cable/ gearing meachanism will no longer be used, right?

Any..I mean ANY help would be great!
Thanks!

I think the clocks were just hooked to any ground on the dash, and then to a stud on the amp gauge, better wait on someone who has a clock to answer though, since mine didnt come with one either.

A quite short wire (about 4"-6" I think) is included in the clock kit. It is an easy fix if you want to make your own. I can post a pic of it if you want.

Yep. All you need is a permanant live feed from the battery. As the amp gauge is connected to the battery you can hook a feed from that.

It will gound the same way as the other instruments.
