The Magnum 500 rims really match the look of the Challenger! :s002:

Are they 14"x6" or something like that?

I think they are 5.5x14,not checked yet. The tyres are 205/70/14. I was going to change them,but I'm starting to really like the magnums!! Need proper decent wheelnuts and a couple of studs though.

I'm in Glenrothes, not too far away. Anstruther officially has the best chippie in the world.... ever! And roads that would make owning a Challenger impossible!

P.S the Magnums are 6x14, I'm checking out new tyres for them right now. 205/70/14 maybe Coopers or Generals.

Yup, sure is,we have Crail on one side of Fife,and Knockhill on the other.
Been down he strip a couple of times already,in a Nissan Sunny GTi.... :roll:

Did manage a 15.8 quarter though,which for a shopping trolley,isn't too bad!

Got the fuel gauge fixed today,so I'll finally know how much I'll have to do without to keep that grin!!!!

That is about as fast as your 318 will push the Challenger if it is in good (but stock) tune. You might get 13s out of it with some speed parts and weight loss. Watch out the speed bug don't bite you! Otherwise you will be itching for more cubic inches. :lol2:

Spoke to a mate today,who has a good few bits for my car,has a nice set of Keystone wheels too,which I quite fancy,also a built 318 with Holley,edelbrock performer manifold,crane cam and a few other bits......Hmmmmm...

Yup, its a slippery slope! Got a pair of headers on their way just now,along with a full service kit. My R/H manifold is split all the way through, you can see the flames through it!... :s022:

Really have to get the brakes sorted out before I really use the right hand pedal, when I press the brake, its a lottery whether I'll stop,cross over the white line and give an old guy in a Volvo 340 heart failure, or screech like a banshee in a cloud of smoke..... :roll:

Anone got a performer intake and a 650 Edelbrock kicking around,they're more interesting than a set of cylinders and shoes.....

any advice on a decent cam Dave??

The cam has to match all the rest of the engine and drivetrain. The hotter the cam the more other changes you have to make. Have a read through the posts in the 'engine' section and have a look at the Hughes Engines web site as they explain cam selection quite well.

I know its a dodgy question,just winding you up after reading a couple of other posts!!! :mrgreen:

I'm after an Edelbrock,about 650CFM, a performer intake,wth the aforementioned headers.I want to use the car as a daily driver after they stop seasoning the roads...Not after a dragstrip contender,but need enough to teach these Subishi boys what a real car sounds/smokes like away from the lights when required.Also after 8MPG with my big block D100 pickup,I'd like,at least to get more to the gallon than my shoe size (I've got big feet)

I'll check out the Hughes website and have a ponder.

What are Real Steel like for small block parts?

I found that Real Steel had all the stuff for small blocks on their books but not always actually in stock. I used to find them expensive too. However my experiance of them is well out of date (I last delt with them in the mid-'80s) so things may be different now.

I am told US Automotive are good. The MMA has a list of UK suppliers on their message board or web site I think?

I always use Summit Racing in the USA for engine bits myself.
