It's a work in progress, but the end is in sight. I hope to have it in the Fall Fling here in the San Fernando Valley in October. Image

I wish my paint looked like that Jack. The body looks very straight too.

Thank you! It had been sitting in the previous owner's back yard since 1986, so you can imagine the condition it was in when I bought it. Let's just say it was not exactly factory fresh when I got it.... more to come later.

I think you either need the engine a little higher or the body a little lower and it should work a lot better!

Sorry! Image

As you can see, I'm still better with the car than I am with the image posting. Dave, please delete my swings and misses, would you?

Brings a tear to my eye. Just like my baby but only much nicer. And without the vinyl top and silly wide wheels of course.

Alex. I think I am going to have to ask your mate Richard for a quote to do a re-spray.

Good work Jack. Enjoy!

Jack, Absolute perfection. As someone who has just been though this, My compliments. Hope you made it to your Fall Fling. Show those GTO and Chevelle guys what a real muscle car is.

Thanks for the kind words, guys, but it isn't perfect - just as close to it as I can get. I did get to the Fall Fling and the car was in some pretty good company. There was a hemi Challenger at the show owned by Jay Leno there that looks like Dave's car, Hemi orange, black vinyl top and bumblebee stripe..... lots of B-bodies and 67-69 A-body Barracudas also - a very nice day in the park here in the San Fernando Valley.

The great thing about Dodge Challenger's is that even standing still they still look like there doing 100mph. 8)

Awesome. Only 2-3 months before my Challenger hits the streets. :D

Fellow members of this message board, as of today, my 440 Six Pack Challenger is no longer mine. I have traded it and some cash for a 1968 Plymouth GTX Hemi 4-Speed car. Not to worry, I will still be around as I still have my R/T SE to finish and enjoy, but this car will belong to another collector soon. If you are intersted in buying it, I can put you in touch with the seller if you email me privately.

Thanks Dave! I picked up the GTX today and really had some fun driving it on the usual errands you have to do with a newly purchased car..... Auto Club, insurance agent - you all know the drill - but I am really happy to still have a Challenger. I have built the R/T SE to my taste and it will be verrrrry fast. Thanks to all of you for your support through the restoration of the car I just traded away.
