Posted: 01 Aug 2008 14:57On Saturday the 12th of July, I visited Pite Dragway for the first time in about 20 years. I was a regular visitor between 1981-1986 but have not been there very much since then. Back in those days I lived only 300 km from the race track, but now live 1200 km from it so it is not as easy to get there as it was before. It was a great feeling to be back there again though. It was almost like getting home.
It was almost like getting home.

The race track is surrounded by deep forests filled with mosqitoes. It all makes an odd combination together with gasoline/nitro/methanol/burnt rubber. I enjoyed every minute of it. I wish I could have been there all three days instead of only just a few hours.

Cracked connecting rods is a well known topic but I can´t remember that I have heard any discussion regarding cracked valve stems
Cracked connecting rods is a well known topic but I can´t remember that I have heard any discussion regarding cracked valve stems I am having the idea that this phenomenon is more common on the exhaust valves due to the heat. Any opinions regarding this?
