Military Sales Program

Postby dave-r » 10 May 2005 20:29

This is the sales book that US servicemen could use to order their new Mopars for USA delivery. I was given this photocopy of the whole book by Jim Wilson some years ago now. Thought the Challenger part might be of interest to someone. They got quite a discount as you will see.

Very cool Dave! Is there a way to make them larger? My eyes are not that good.

Thanks,

I can see the details OK on my monitor. When you click on each image you get a 1024x768 image in a new window. You must be using a higher screen resolution I guess?

How do they print?

I can re-scan them bigger if needed.

I just printed the last one and it prints readable but a little on the low quality side I admit.

Hey Dave,
I did not realize that I could click on them to make them bigger, that did the trick!

Very cool info, thanks! I have not seen this before.

I sometimes wonder if everyone realises that? The photo in the post is just a large thumbnail image. Imagine trying to work from a circuit diagram posted that size!

I will scan the Barracuda bits of that book for you mate and email them to you. Any other 1970 models you would like scans of just give me a shout.

Hi Dave,
That would be great! I would love to see the Barracuda bits. Does it list the Duster and Valiant as well?

Thanks!

One of those scans above is the contents list Barry. You want to try my glasses instead of yours?

LOL, Sure!

I printed them all out but have not had a chance to read them yet. I still have a backlog of stuff to catch up on from being out of town. I am making progress though.

Thanks,
Barry

This is how my girlfriend's family got their '71. Her dad was a buddy of the original buyer. He special-ordered his '71 R/T for racing (street and track) for when he got back in the world. After owning it for a while he sold it to my gf's parents. The mother used it as a daily driver and street racer. They still have the car 30+ years later.

I scanned the whole document and saved it as a pdf file. Much easier to read and covers the full range of vehicles offered.

I want to publicly thank Dave for redoing this this in a more readable format. I had emailed him a couple of days ago about this booklet and he came thru. In a big way. Thanks again Dave!!!!

It was good to re-learn how to do this sort of thing. So it was my pleasure.
