Love the coloured bumpers, I liked that on davemans Chally too.
Only the front bumper on my car Ade as it was plastic.
I imported a new rear bumper in the early 90s (you couldn't get a front bumper) before internet ordering and stuff just coming through customs "by itself".
When the bumper was overdue I had a hell of a time tracking down where it was.
After a lot of phone calls over two days I eventually found it in a shipping company office at Newcastle Airport. They said they had been calling me every day for a week and had decided I must have gone "out of business" because there was never an answer during working hours.
They had put it in storage and were trying to contact the USA to see if the supplier wanted to pay to ship it back.
I explained to them that I was not a "company" and was not at home during the day. I was importing the bumper privately. They then tried to charge me for a weeks storage. But I played hell about that as they had never left a message on my answer phone and they dropped that charge.
It is amazing how easy it is to buy stuff in other countries now. I don't think people realise how hard that sometimes was just 20 years ago.
