Not sure what you are asking?

The 3.55:1 ring gear has nothing to do with what type of limited slip unit is fitted. I might be wrong but it looks to me like an aftermarket Auburn limited slip rather than the stock "Suregrip" type.

I don't know if it is locker or limited slip....
I want to use this center section in my Challenfer and I was told by previous owner that it is a locker but he was not sure - so I don't even know what type of oil I should use.

By "locker" he probably means a limited slip diff.
The problem being that people that do not know these things call them different names.

If you are worried that it is a spool type (no slip at all) then I think you will find it isn't. Spools do not allow the wheels to rotate at different speeds on corners at all. That looks like some type of limited slip to me.

Use oil or an oil additive designed for a limited slip diff. If you find the car will not drive in a circle you will know I was wrong.

I fitted an aftermarket Auburn LSD to a mates Charger and I seem to remember it looked very like that one. Auburns are cone clutch units I think.

Very few are the friction disc type now, I think they are all cone type.
The current Auburn Gear units are quite strong and are a better quality than some out there

I could be wrong about this but,,I rebuilt my 9.25 in my Dodge Truck a few years ago and remember the Auburn unit had a large "window" in the side of the diff case. You could see the spring pack inside easily. That unit looks like the factory clutch pack Sure-Grip unit.

No, I think you're probably right mate
Moser do a lot of differentials and I'm sure the bigger units have clutch plates.

Hi
I checked the INERNET and I've found short info:
http://www.wichitamopar.com/wp-content/ ... MATION.pdf

My unit hasn't got any window with springs, so I think it can not be cone LSD. Previous ovner use it in his car without any LSD addictive and it worked fine without any noices.
All LSD must have special oil additive and my works without it, so what is it?
I install it to car and is not possible to rotate a wheel when another is on the ground. (that's why he caled it "locker").

Unbolt it and take a look........... if it hasn't had the proper additive the unit is probably trashed.
Hopefully some lunatic hasn't welded the gears up
