I think according to your picture you have the 71 up 4 cable system. I looked under my 70 and my 72. The diifference is the 70 has a dual cable bracket on the drivers side. This single bracket holds both E-Brake cables in relation to the single cable. The 71 up has brackets on both sides, they are a single hole bracket that holds the cable along with the emergency brake cable. The other difference is the curved tab under the floor pan for the 70. You will have to weld the single hole bracket on both sides of your 70 at the rear frame rails,(inboard), to use the 71 up cable system. I hope I didnt confuse you. Eddie

Yes I have the two holes on the driver side, Summit Racing have a wrong picture on this item, no matter mine is good for 70', have you a picture of the cable inside the drum ?

The bar above the rear emergency brake cable is the frame mounted Firm Feel rear sway bar. Hope this helps you Apewalski70,, let me know if you need more pics. Eddie

The end of the Emergency brake cable that fits into the drum housing has a one way spring clip,, that pushes in,, then expands itself once seated firmly into the drum backing plate,(housing), to remove it simply place a small hose clamp onto the steel end,, tighten it up,, then start to remove it, once the clip slips past a little bit,,remove the clamp and pull the remainder out of the housing. It can be frustrating trying to remove it with pliers and usually results in damage to the spring clip. Dont axe me how I know this!
