Yeah sure. But this happens every day here in the UK. It does not even make the news it is so common. People are so stupid not to lock their front doors. Sometimes they even forget to lock then when they go to bed at night and young men just walk in and take the car keys while they sleep.
The reason it is so common now is that without the keys, modern cars are just about impossible to drive away.

It does not help that he gives no details of his car registration or even what area this was in.

65 Million people live officially in the UK and possibly a couple of million that shouldn't be. Needle in a haystack without knowing the town.

Hopefully one person in the 65 million will be able to ID them. That is all it takes, one person.

We have two front doors like that but no matter what we always have at least one locked when we are in and both locked when we are out or after 6pm.

We don't keep car keys in the hallway or anywhere where you can see them either.

In any case, if anyone walked in on me they wouldn't be walking out unless they had a serious weapon or if Diana was in danger. Actually I would probably have to hold Diana back.
I wouldn't even call the Police unless one of them got away. It would be them calling the Police. And the Ambulance. And probably me in court. But I have been though that before......

Humm dont lock your doors and leave the keys in the hall....I will have to remember that if I am ever stuck in the U.K. somewhere and need a ride,

Our doors are locked most of the time when we are home and we never leave keys laying around :s001:

We don't seem to have this epidemic here ,sure are some very trusting folks over there or just plain ignorant :|

Manchester is the area this has happened in and it is one of Britains biggest cities with huge gang, drug and other crime problems. There are regular shootings. High unemployment. In some areas it is the norm to steal and getting caught is just badge of honor or at worst and ocupational hazard.

Mate of mine moved there to work when Maggie Thatcher was in power and there were no jobs at all in the Newcastle area where we live. He had his car parked outside his rented house and one day he came out to find the 9-year old from the house next door had his car on bricks and the wheels off.
