Never actually seen it. But it has changed hands a few times over the last few years.

I think most of the work was probably done by Dave Billadeau as he does most of the Mopars around the Yorkshire area. It raced at York a few times. Dave's website is http://www.billadeau-speed.co.uk/

I think it has been for sale in it's current form since last summer. August I think. I have a feeling it was sold cheap or traded in by the last owner. Something like that.

Yes these Chargers fetch a lot of money in their home country. But Until recently were selling for peanuts over here. This one is the most expensive one I have ever seen over here.

Yep, that car was advertised by Dave B for one of his mates a little while back, it is highly likely like Daveman sez that Dave B did the motor and running gear tho, think it was up for late single figures last year

Hi all, I will be in the UK on Friday to throw the mincers over the Aussie.
A couple of issues are bugging me though.
The vendor says most of the work was carried out by the previous owner as he is a mechanical engineer.
I mentioned Dave B,s name but it did not ring any bells with him.
It is hard to make out from the photos if the engine is a 383 or a 400 stroked.
An early discussion with him he thought it may be a 383 now he believes it to be a 400.
I would assume be it either it would be stroked with a 440 crank etc.
He could confirm that the crank is cast as opposed to steel.
As these cars were built with slant 6, and lazy v8 small blocks the next issue would be the chassis strength
with the engine in her now.
The car has no extra bracing to the chassis or engine bay to negate torque twist or the likes.
I dont drive like a loony but I would hate to twist a standard car with a radical power plant.
Opinions would be appreciated.

Try and contact Dave B. Prety sure he worked on the car for his mate and it was built to take the power.

See if it has got chassis connectors. If it has there will be no problems. The car raced regular at York I think?

Cast crank is no problem but how does the guy know if he didn't build it and does not even know what engine it is?

I think its probably changed hands a couple of times and the new owner isn't sure, but yer right Daveman, Pat ought to contact DaveB and ask him directly, if its still the same bloke I'm sure he would try to help get a sale.
I have to say that does seem a litle steep for an Oz car tho, regardless of motor

I contacted Dave B earlier.
He supplied the previous owner with a 440 crank, pistons, & conrods.
The block is a 400 with 383 heads.
He personally did not do any work to the car but he relayed the previous owners name and mob number.
This lad is apparently a mechanic and a nice guy.
He did say the car has been recently resprayed to its present livery.
This has been done by the dealer chappie who is selling same.
He remember,s the car being red but cannot recall the condition of the body.
The car was sold by the previous owner for less than half the now advertised price.
Making a few bob is ok I have no problem there, but I hope to contact the mechanic lad with a few questions that he will hopefully answer.

The 383 used the same heads as the 440 and 400. So no problems there.

I spoke at length to the previous owner who is a sound bloke.
He gave me the full SP on engine, suspension, body, costs, selling price, etc etc.
Other than the Orange paint job all works had been done by the previous owner.
The car has had a good amount of filler, the underside of the doors being one area in particular.
The engine and engine bay had been painted orange by the previous owner when he was doing the 452.
Basically the car has just received an outer paint job and a couple of stripes by the dealer and a hefty markup banged on to his purchase price.
I was in the UK and 80mls away from the car and decided to give it a miss based on a few other things that cropped up.
The 3 months remaining road tax had been surrendered, which I thought was a little stingy.
I once had a nasty time at Holyhead port over an untaxed car.
The speedo was not working it needed a drive gear at the box a cheap fix not done, bit iffy with the amount of cameras around now both in the UK and Ireland..
The most important issue for me was the V5 still showed the car as being Red and the engine being a 318.
As I understand any changes to colour or engine have to be notified to the DVLA.
The dealer is in no hurry to change this why I do not know, but the equivelant of the DVLA in Ireland would have a field day with that and would not register it with unmatching paperwork.
The V5 has not been changed to date.

You definately made the right choice there Pat, it sounded steep at that money but may have been worth it if it had had a lot of really good paint and prep, which it clearly had'nt
As for the irregularities with the log book and the tax, it makes me wonder how much some of these dealers actually think about the right way to market and sell on a vehicle, if I traded like that I'd have gone bust by now
