Correct Map Light Switch

Postby cv70chall » 29 Apr 2011 17:01

I'm getting ready to reassemble the dash and I will need to replace the map light switch which was frozen solid.
Is it a standard toggle or something particular?

Thanks

It's been a while but somehow I managed to free up the toggle switch on mine. Pretty basic internals.

Look up JS Restorations. There is a write-up about them in the newest MCG also. You can send your switch in for a restoration. I just got my map light switch back and it looks great. They can do all of the dash switches if you need those gone over too.

Thanks for the info! I'm pretty sure I threw my switch away- as it was toast.

I thought mine was junk too. It no longer moved and was accually causing a battery drain. Jim took it apart and sent me pictures of the insides to let me know what the problem was. It toggles like new now. I even told him that I wanted to preserve the date code on the side of the housing and he did.
