Doesn't have to be stock? Well then, let's try to trim down the list to five cars :

- For a reasonable hot rod, I'd say if a twin-turbo, fuel-injected 904ci Schubek V8 can fit under the hood of an all-steel 1941 Willys body, with a 3-speed Lencomatic, a full tube chassis and decent drag tires, I'd take that.

- For a racecar, an Ariel Atom V8 would be perfect, or a more conventional Porsche 911 GT2 (just in case I want to race on a rainy day).

- For looks, if it can't be a Challenger, it could be a a 1969 Plymouth GTX, or a 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T (with a Hemi and a Torqueflite, it's the "looks" car).

- For chauvinism, I'd try a Facel Vega KH500.

Two more empty spots, eh?
I have a sweet spot for the 1965 Cheetah.
The fifth spot would be occupied by a short wheelbase Audi Quattro.

[EDIT] : I just realized I can't even count to 5 anymore. Let's axe the Quattro, then...
There are only 10 kinds of people in this world... those who understand binary and those who don't !

I know mine will change by the minute but here is this minute's grouping, in no particular order;
my old 1974 pre-production Dodge Ramcharger SE
1970 Hemi Cuda -keisler 5spd, tube-framed street-legal road racer (think more production-looking version of Glenn Bunch Challenger or that bronze colored Silver State Cuda that was going around the web several years ago)
1969 Charger R/T 440+6
1971 Sport Fury III
exoticar such as one of the Koenigsegg cars

and the places to run them and the $$$$$$$$ to store and maintain them :D

Good start Drew with an early LP400, fantastic design :s004:

A second list would include:
Clark Gables Dusenberg,
an Iso Griffo with all modern Corvette running gear,
a '59 Cadillac Eldorado drophead,
....still working on the rest, just SO much eye wateringly beautiful machinery :!:

This was fun reading... :D What´s with that panzer Raven? Is it launched by a mopar engine? =)

I Go for my Top number one since i was a boy = 2dr -57 Chevy HT for a daily street.. Black paint, wide chrome wheels and big tyres... wideness is most important, so at least 15" but posssible 17 & 18"....
Bright Red interior with a sofa in front so my ´gal can sit under my right arm you know, american graffitti style :D When more money could be brought in the project, i´ll say airride suspension so it could sit right while cruisi´n the city and park the carshows... And last but not least, a big chrome bloer on top of the engine, i think a modern automatic gearbox of any advice suggestion with low rpm:s... and maybe modified front / rear chassie & brakes if it is possible to run a 50´s chevy in corners aswell(?)

The daily rider to go shopping, i am up with Tim = An black Audi RS6, modified after his suggestions to those roaming 650-750(?) Horses.... :s017:

Then i want my Black Chally back, with a chassie built for road use, after help & suggestion by Drew & the rest of you... And that 340 stroked down as a -70 T/A.. (I dont remember cui) and a manual 5 or six speed.. And i want it built so that i can drift in the corners and on tracks... drift, not drive... :s003:

Then a -69 Dart GTS, black... red interior, sport seats, red rollercase.. hmm, let´s see, i have no straight forward car really, thats because they keep building traffic circles everywhere, instead of the traffic lights (meaning, you should have cars for corners to stand a chance... But pherhaps if i go real fast straight and have big brakes, it´s even out... So a big, mighty twin turbo (stroked 400) 500? with some big brakes from aftermarket... a hravy duty trans and 15" centerline wheels with at least 330mm rubber in back... o, yes- a bright red bumble bee stripe in back.. No, no, no... bright old school flames!

Oh, and last but not least.... A -33/-34 Black 3w coupe Ford, with fenders.... Big, blower big block, modern automatic trans, big, fat tyres in back... and a cozy interior, and black windows all around....

Mmmmmm zzzZZZzzzz, you could always dream... =) I am up with that Chevelle -66 if i don´t find the Dart in right condition... Love those middle sixties HT models...

I believe Ed is kind of straight for originality / stock cars on his list? :D

haha... Okay.. :D I looked at wikipedia, i thought that GTR was among those choosen old japanese classic drifters, but i was obviously wrong.. Have you already droven a GTR btw, or did you sit next to the driver with your lunch? =)

Well, i also feel i want a rear wheel droven car for the drifting, but lot´s of torque and low end power should be enough even for a 4 wheeler... Take a look at this>>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rs-jAImScms

Got two spaces left on my second list so I would choose a jaw dropping chrome and candy '60's show custom, like a Barris/Roth type creation, wilder the better  ............last place would go to a track day car, but as this is dream garage I think I would go for a historic racer, a Moss driven Mercedes, a blower Blentley or maybe a one of Fangio'scars
Have'nt seen anyone choose a Ferrari yet, interestingly.

It was a day I was out at the track and I was testing a lemons car for a later date it was a Nissan Altima stripped , full cage, and not very fast , so I get out after my laps and the guy asked me if I could ride (he needed someone to write down the engine management numbers, his buddie was feeling sick :s012: ) so me not knowing very much about this car( LOOKS LIKE A SKYLINE) I jumped right in, and the first corner I found out why his buddie was sick,we hit 140 mph passing everybody, and I asked if he had tweaked this car?'YEP WE DID A TON OF STUFF",

well after 5 laps and my stomach in my mouth I told him oil temp was 270F way to hot so he got off the track and explained that the car gets to hot(humm I wonder why) he said the car dynoed at 500 plus hp,one hell of a car if it can stay together :s007: NOT THE BEST LOOKING CAR EITHER!the front looks like this emotocon :x
