Looking good mate, is the pedal box the same as a factory piece?
I use March pulleys on my 440 and my idle speed is down to 800 and I still get more than 12v at idle, but I like Daveman put that down to a modern (Painless) wiring loom design :mrgreen:

Yes, Ade,the pedal box, (the brake pedal support under the dash?), is the same, actually it's the same as the factory parts. I just needed to know how the support bracket fit and exactly where the firewall holes needed drilled,(2). The pedal kit came from Year one. VERY NICE not having an archaic rod, Z-Bar junk,, :lol: I have an adjustable threaded DR. Diff brake rod with a Heim joint, the Wilwood uses a Heim jointed with a threaded rod at both ends so I can tailor both the brake pedal and clutch master lengths as needed. For now, with no fluid in either,,I think I'll wait till I get the engine/trans in place and hook everything up. Then I'll bleed both systems.

See these 'Gold' coloured bolts? All Challengers have 2 dimples where the 4-speed small dogbone shaped bracket is attached on Manual Trans cars only. The Auto cars have 2 small 'dimples'. I drilled 2 holes thru them,,of course I placed the bracket up 1st and made a sharpie mark, then a small punch with a hammer, it was dead center! I drilled away!

Both banks have Oxy Sensor Bungs for tuning and a permanent wide band gauge.

I really like the AEM wide band gauge available thru Jegs or Summit. My LM-1 uses a 5 wire heated Bosch sensor . There are a few kits out there some very expensive and rich with features,,but all I need is a display gauge and sensor kit. I can Log/Record with my LM-1 if any serious tuning is required. Having both Collectors "bunged" is handy! With my HP E-85 Holley carb,,the same one used in my dyno testing,,it should be very close to ideal. E-85 1). Max Power Rich= 6.975 AFR Lambda= .7143
2) Max Power Lean=8.469 AFR Lambda=.8673
3). Stoich = 9.765 AFR Lambda= 1.000

E-85 is very forgiving of a bad tune,,you can be off quite a bit and the engine should still run without too much damage. I will try and get the car to my former School where they have a SuperFlow Chassis dyno and tune it there. I'm in the early stages of planning my Fast-Man SMPI system,,next up on the parts list is a new Fuel cell. Stainless,,in tank pump,,vented,,10AN feed and return line. I need to be able to support 900 HP,(Gas), with 617 actual on E-85 I need to be able to move 35% more volume,,hence the high HP rating.

Hmmm..interesting,,on moparts and Cuda-challenger it appears some links are provided to show that Keisler has filed for chapter 11 Bankruptcy?? Glad I got everything but my driveshaft! hope it's not true. Lot of haters have already jumped on the bandwagon.

Hope you get it sorted :wink:

I always liked the Innovate stuff meself. The outputs make it so easy to hook up to the dashboard app you can put on your iPhone or whatever, record your engines most personal habits even on the way to work :mrgreen:

Yea I saw the Bankruptcy too,they also have quite a few lawsuits pending too.


If need be get that thing running and see what spare parts you might need now before they run out.

Hopefully another vendor will buy them out ,and make them better :wink:

Like what happened to Cap auto ,they sold me some junk LCA,S ,by the time I got them on the car their was no warranty from the new company ,so get that thing running sooner rather than later :lol:

I have everything but the driveshaft. On Facebook he says his former employees betrayed him and his company's reputation. I contacted his lawyer (advocate), and he sent me an e-mail saying the Liquidation could take several years and that only pennies on the dollar might be granted. He owes millions! He has little in assets . Time to move forward!! Anyways, when the time comes I have a variety of Driveshaft vendors over here! PST,,Dyno-Tech,,Driveshaft shop ectt I AM thankful I received my parts when I did,,it could have been much much worse. I figure I'm 'out' 350-450 bucks,,Hell I spend that on Por err parts weekly! :lol:

Eddie i dont whant to scare you but im one of those that will never ever have whit Kieslers stuff to do again ! Passons trans and service is what i recomend for those that think about overdrive in manual trans but i hope you have more luck whit yuor never trans than i had becas i purshest mutch earlyer generation trans for my Challenger. Some realy nice work you do !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm still looking at the Passon unit Pat, I was undecided after seeing how nice Eddies stuff was but after the news they are going out of business I have my reservations now.

Thanks for the kind words Pat! Yes, you are right,,the Passion 5-speed looks like a real gem! If I ever build another MoPar,,I wouldn't hesitate using his new A-855 manual trans,,very strong,,well made and should provide years of enjoyment,,more importantly,,he will still be in business! The only thing that swayed me into buying the Legend SS 700 was it is an internal rail shifted trans,(like a Ford Top Loader), or any new modern manual gearbox. This does away with the Z-Bar type of external shifted gearbox. Nothing wrong with that,,I just wanted the newer style technology. There ARE other options for a Modern style Trans,,,American PowerTrain and Hurst Driveline conversions offers Tremec Transmissions including the 6-speed T-56 as used in the Vette and Vipers,Challengers and Camaros,, Mustangs ect it is a large and heavy trans that will require extensive floor and crossmember fabrication,,but the companies will work with you and provide tech support. So there are other options instead of the Keisler deal. Ade,,you can now benefit from our experiences,,so you can make an informative decision.

Eddie,
I use the 4 speed Hemi trans that Passon do whit overdrive on 4th gear whit my stroker and i cant complain about only 3 steps of gears up to 1:1 as my engine has alot of ft and hp so doing that steps whit more gears would only make more tire spin before i can realy launch the car propper !

Jamie is a realy stand up guy that stand by what he sells and if there is any trubbel down the way he will suport you whit parts and know how until you get it right so summing it up he is one of the realy good guys.

Yeah,,no need for more gears with massive torque! I love your Challenger,,and bet it's a fantastic ride! Jamie Passon is one of the very best MoPar guys out there! I wont hesitate next time and will eventually use one of his excellent transmissions !! Thanks for the feedback Pat!!

The CNC'd Serpentine water pump pulley,,braided stainless,,high pressure gear box to pump hose and custom SAE/Metric fittings. Now all I need is a Jeep PS pump and pulley,,and a new Dodge Ram Nippondesno 75 Amp Alt. I am going to Indy/Jeep Salvage yard for the PS Pump and pulley and Rock Auto for the new Alt and Pulley. Took 6 months to get these parts, :s006: :lol:

Thanks Pat,,Jerry the Machinist who owns SDC has only produced his bracket kit,,which I already have, and I needed various parts from both a Dodge Truck V-8 5.2/5.9 and a Jeep with V-8 5.2/5.9,,some parts are easy to find like the crank shaft pulley,,the water pump pulley comes in 2 bolt patterns,,I just ordered his WP pulley cause it was easy to find. He just now offers his Pulleys and I was the 1st to get it,,along with his high pressure SS hose and fittings,,he is a 1 man outfit and very busy with various auto/non-auto CNC projects. Pat,,my objective is to get the power train in the car this next month,(I still need a few parts to complete the Serp. Drive assembly), then this Fall,,the fuel system and cooling system,,new custom engine wiring harness,,plumbing,,then it should be darn near ready to fire up!

I can always get the 90 Amp,,I'll have an intank fuel pump and a rad cooling module. Either one is only about 125 bucks new at Rock Auto,,Nippondenso I have the MAD electrical heavy gauge 100 amp upgrade kit.

Yeah,,I think so too,,but I understand that a 75 and a 90 would have the same output,,only the 90 can crank up the juice if the potential/demand is there. Correct me if I'm wrong about that Ade Barc ect!

It's the 'draw' off the a electrical circuits demands that dictates how much amperage the alt produces....... A 90 amp will provide 15 more amps than a 75 but if the electrical system requires say 50 amps to operate then that's all either one will provide.
I you don't have loads off power accessories or a ridiculous incar entertainment robbing the system I think you'll be ok Ed.
Like any acc driven from the engine the harder ithe alt has to work the more HP it takes, nothing's for free! :mrgreen:

Yeah ,,that's what I thought Ade,,I wont have any crazy sound system, hell I don't even have a radio in it! :lol: The Music from that LowDeck! Almost as good as Slayer/Dio,,, :lol:
