Window guide pad replacement

Postby cv70chall » 21 Jan 2011 14:35

I'm looking to replace the 4 window pads that sit just inside the door panel near the top and prevent the window from moving. They bolt onto the door near the top.
Can anyone tell me where I might find them? I've heard the pads are available as replacements.

Thanks!!

Are you talking about the four brackets(two per side) with the black fuzzy material on them?

That material is NOT available. A few people were looking into reproducing it but the cost was too high. There is a website that is selling a fuzzy material used on Camaro's. Sorry, I don't have a link. That may be an option but it is not correct for a Challenger.

Yup, those are what I'm talking about. I suppose I can make something that will work as a replacement.

I thought you could pick that fuzzy pad up from a trade window supplier at the local builders merchant. I'm gonna phone my mate who does commercial glazing and see what he says. I'm convinced that I've seen that stuff before  :!:

That would be great! I'm sure I could create something, but it would be nice to actually utilize a material that will work- and hold up there.

Keep me posted!!
