I loved season 1.

I started watching season 2 but then realised I had missed a few episodes. Then I just got bored with it.

I might try it again sometime but I kind of got the impression they are making the "big" storyline up as they go along.

SOA

Best show on telly!

Season 3 is a little different than the first 2. I won't go into detail, only to say that it's the season that is spent revealing a lot of the back-story and club history, so it is slower-paced than previous seasons. A lot of people expecting the standard fighting/bickering/rival gangs shootouts every episode were disappointed.

The shows creator said his idea for the show is a 7 season arc, and with that in mind, season 3 being the way it was was very necessary - if you go in with taht mind set, it makes perfect sense, and was very, very good TV.

I will say that if you're a fan of the show and have watched every episode, watch & enjoy, as the final 15 minutes of the final episode of season 3 is the most satisfying 15 minutes in television history.

Closure is an understatement!

I spoke to a girl who works for me, and told her about this series, and she reckons it starts on Bravo this week. Had a look on the web but I can't see it listed anywhere, is she having me on :?:

Congratulations to Sons of Anarchy star Katey Sagal - Golden Globe Winner for Best Actress Television Series Drama.

But she will always be Peggy Bundy to me.

Someone still follows series from TV? I thought everyone with Internet access downloads them in HDTV quality within hours after first aired in US.

In my opinion third season of SoA was plain boring. And what's with those modern style bikes? Must be some sponsorship thing between production company and HD.

Latest Dexter season was not much better either. I think I'll start watching original Knight Rider and MacGyver. Those are quality series that never let you down. Both also clearly separate good guys from bad guys unlike SoA and Dexter. :)

Over here in Finland season 3 of Dexter is newest they have aired. First episode of SoA season 2 was just aired so that's lagging only couple years.

I am still a big Dexter fan. Yes they just find ways of mixing the same sort of story lines around in different ways but i still find it the most enjoyable show on TV.

Thanks Adrian. Unfortunately, I went the FreeSat route. Cheap, but for a reason.

They'll probably get to it by about 2015.

Wonder if they do boxsets? I'll check on Amazon.

It's pretty simple in SoA : the good guys wear leather, do porn, alcohol and weapons. Oh, and the occasional murder when they're bored. Bad guys wear badges or are plain neo-Nazis. :)

I missed the beginning of season 2 because the TV channel broadcasting here has apparently misplaced a few episodes.
And as Dave said, it seems they're coming up with a new twist once or twice every episode to lengthen a storyline that otherwise would be over in 4 hours. Subplots are becoming increasingly unrealistic.

I still love it though, it's the only modern TV show I like.

Me too.

It was done with just the right amount of tongue in cheek. I'd forgotton about his generic boss. He used to go into full rant mode with smoke coming out of his ears and everything.

This show must have sounded the death knell for about 50 tired out '70's cop shows.

A true classic.

I can remember watching that but can't remember much about it or how many episodes I saw.

Was it on in the 80s? I was kind of busy doing the sex, drugs, sex, rock n roll, and sex sort of thing for most of the 80s so the only TV I saw was seen over someone elses shoulder.

I think it was on Channel 4 (could be deluding myself though). It showed quite late on a Friday night. Perfect viewing if you'd just come in from the pub (or happened to be shagging a rock star while doing a double line off the carpet, as some of us evidently were  :s024: ).

Friday nights....there you go then.

Friday night was always a workout in the Gym then Percy Arms, Haymarket Hotel, Farmers Rest, City Tavern, The Jubilee, back to the Haymarket, then last orders 'till 11pm in the Percy Arms again.
Then it was either the Cooperage on the riverside (easier for meeting women but also easier to get into fights) or sometimes the Mayfair Rock Night.
It was very hard not to get into a fight in the Cooperage so after having one we usually hung out in the Mayfair the next week to let things cool off and seeing if the bouncers would let us back in the Cooperage the following week. They usually did.

Repeat for Saturday night except it was nearly always the Mayfair on the Saturday night. 500 rock chicks with very little on. Good music too.

Repeat for Sunday night but no nightclubbing as work on Monday.

Repeat for Monday night but to hell with work it's boring so the nightclub was a rock night at the old Oxford Galleries.

Tuesday night was Thai Boxing followed by a big dinner and a few pints in the pub.

Wednesday was a chance to have a night in or out with any girls picked up on the previous nights. I did run a female self defence class on this night for a year once too. That produced results. :D What is it with women and their trainers?

Thursday would be another Thai Boxing night followed by a couple of pubs and usually ending up either in the Cooperage or the "Stage Door" nightclub. Which is actually where I met my wife one Thursday night.

I used to live within easy high-heel walking distance of the nighclubs so the chat up lines were always "well I live just up the road so why don't you come back for a tea or coffee"...

These days I can't wait to get home, put my slippers on, nice cup of tea in front of the TV, and then off to bed.

Diana has to drag me out if she wants to go out.

My best mate had the best chat up lines.
His favorite was:

"Do you know the difference between a penis and a chicken leg?"

If they said no he then said;

"Do you fancy going on a picnic with me then?"

Back to YouTube now, my wife wants me to find her 'classics'. Fraggle Rock and Alf. :hmmm: :bonk:
