[Tim Francis (Monster)]

I would like to decode the number on my tires - to determine the manufacture date.

They are a set of Goodyear Polyglas, Custom Wide Tread (white letter) F70-14's. They were on the car when I bought it in 1985 and still in good shape.

The numbers are 226265-1AALR and 226496-1AALR

I understand the numbers are supposed to correlate to the week and year they were made. The info Goodyear gave me didn't really match up - based on total numbers. Any help would be appreciated.
