RT with colum shift

Postby redgum78 » 05 Feb 2010 16:35

Hi,

My car is a 440RT with a colum shift. Does anyone else have a JS car with colum shift? It seems odd to me that somone would purchase a big block or performance car and not option it with a console?
It is going to stay a colum shift because......well just because it is already there!

Cheers

Danny

It is pretty common actually. I love it myself, the consoles in these cars are pretty cheesy.

Yeah my mate had a 440 68 Coronet R/T with column shift.

Handy if you wanted a performance car as well as a front bench seat for those intimate evenings with the girlfriend. :wink:

:twisted: I like. :twisted: Too bad its got buckets. I've not even seen a picture of a Challenger with a front bench...Do they exist? I guess most plain jane cars with a factory bench front seat would be a clone by now and the bench would be long gone.

Yes, they exist.

The bench seats were an extra cost option in fact.

Take a look at this page;

The bench seat cars are near the bottom.

I wished mine had a colum shift! Every time I take a hard right hand corner, my wife ends up in my lap anyway. :lol: Kind of concerned about my old console and, its cracking point. :shock:
