I'm just about finished with the trunk area on this 70 Chally. Where exactly does the trunk light mount? Any pictures or help is greatly apprecaited.

There's a square hole to the left of the latch on your trunk lid, with a screw hole on top. My easyshare program is being a pain, right now. If I don't get you a pic, I'm sure someone will chime in.

I have a (non standard) switchable light I have been meaning to fit since I bought the car 20 years ago and still haven't got around to fitting it.

I got mine from a wrecked 71 Challenger in a small salvage yard near Ojai Ca. Along with map, glove box, & ash tray light.

Also perfect front and rear window trim, interior dash trim, washer nozzles and fittings, screws and bolts, anything I could strip and carry out before dark as it was going to the crusher. I think it cost me about $50 back then.

What an enjoyable afternoon that was.

i do have a rear window defroster,its on my basement floor i robbed it from a loaded car but never saw the light

I bet it was. My feelings are mixed though. I am happy for your sake but sorry for the Challenger who went to the crusher. At least some of the goodies were saved thanks to you.

Yes Chris I feel bad also but what else could you do save buy the whole car. Probably cheap, then where do you store it living in an apartment. People were crashing them and the yards had to turn and make room.

There was one place down in Los Angeles, Pacoima to be exact with a junk yard row. AD's Last Stop was at the end and they carried Mopars exclusively. You can't imagine the vehicles stacked 4 high, Polaras, Road Runners, Coronets, you name it. Wade through the oil soaked yard and pick the part you need. Even had a junkyard dowg to worry about. (seriously ).
