You can't eject. Not enough height for a parachute to open.
My favourite Bonneville machine was always the Summers Brothers contraption. Four hemis strapped to a bedstead, each driving one wheel.

Goldenrod. I will have to check but either one pair of engines powered each axle (pair of wheels) or all four drove all four wheels. That is the only two ways it could work. I saw this car at an exhibition in London when I was a teenager. Their record was only broken a few years ago.
