floor replacement

Hey guys. I'm in the process of replacing the full front floor on my 73 Challey and would like to know if theres any tricks to taking the shifter brackets off the old and putting them on the new floor. any help would be great and pics if poss. Thanks.

gday i would as the old floor is being discarded cut the floor away from the brackets then the brackets will be un harmed

Thanks for reply. Was more worried about putting the brackets on tthe new pan, ie; how to put them back in the same proper spot as before but all input is greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

i would sugest taking measurments before removal then when you put them on the new floor just lightly tack weld them first & test the fitment before welding them properly
