440 pulleys systems

i have a 440 with powereing steering and a steel crank shaft i have a four grove on the crankshaft and a single pulley on the waterpump but they are to close they are binding on each other what is the proper set up for this motor. Thank you.

4 groove crank pulley is for a car with AC But it will work with non-ac combos.
With AC you had a double alt pulley and a different water pump pulley to the non-AC engines.

The arrangement of the pulleys changed over time. The later engines having idler pulleys as well.

You can easily space out the water pump pully. They even have special shims for this or make your own up. You can also space out and change the angles of the power steering pump and alternator to get them lined up properly. I did, took many many hours and cursing but finally got it sorted.
