far out is it worth it if it were an original hemi car then ok but there would be much better bodies much cheaper than fixing that

Ive had a good look at my 72 and yes there are rust spots in the usual place like below the rear screen some around the roof but I dont think there is any structural rust which is good right, if I get the roof sorted and some new panels that should be a start.

I rekon if I get the car media blasted I will get a good idea what the story is eh?

Have a look at these shots guys....Ive seen worse.

Almost anything can be fixed. Your car looks pretty good but like you said, blasting will tell the real story.

Have you checked out my 73 that is in the restoration section? That should give you some insite as to what can be fixed. Once the fenders were removed, I saw that the entire front sections of both rockers were gone. I hope you don't have that problem.

My car's been apart for over 10 years so don't get frustrated. My only suggestion is to NOT cut corners. Just take your time and do it right the first time. Spending a little more money to do it right will save you a lot of head-akes in the future.

yea thats not to bad wayne ive fixed worse thats for sure what are the floors like ? its weird how it rusted behind the headlights will you be doing the work yourself or getting a panel beater to do the job?

Yeah Kinda what I thought Ian, I can have the body media blasted replace the 1/4 panels maybe salvage the roof or replace it. It can be done.

Im getting more determined to be honest. I know I know..... to dumb to know when to quit!!! :lol:

actually in that last photo it shows the rust around the windshield , my car was worse than that, the tin worm had eaten all the way around the window, as well as the back glass it had a vynal top,and i thought it would never be fixed but after 13 years no sign of rust in that area, :thumbsup:
