HI all, if anyone is interested, just thought i'd tell you that i have bought a new electronic Instrument voltage limiter to replace the 36 year old original one for my Rallye Instruments. They are from RTE (Real Time Engineering, now called DashWorx) and they look identical to the originals but have a circuit inside them which does the job a whole lot more efficiently than the original. They are US$50, but i thought it would be good insurance, as if the original ones burn out and short, you get 12V across your instruments and they are fried. They drop the voltage from 12 to 5V. These guys also do the quartz conversion for the rallye clock and full instrument resto and anything to do with instruments and dash for Mopars.
i sent them my Borg clock, all pulled apart and they put a quartz movement into it and it is working beautifully now. Another interesting thing is that they make a small 8000 rpm Tacho that fits into that blank spot on the standard Ebody cluster. Some Ebodies had a clock there as optional equipment, but most were blank, so a Tacho would make a nice addition.
