custom markers

-made some metal openings for marker lights today
-cut a mold then hammered metal into it
-modified an old marker with a die grinder to fit from back side
-markers will be flush with fender
-need to build jig to cut markers nice for final fit
-will cut out factor openings and weld in my pieces
-here some shots of what i have

Yeah I like that. I never liked the way the later markers lights looked kinda "stuck on" as an afterthought. I always thought it looked cheap.

I made a very slight modification to my own front markers on my 1970 model. Just the addition of an extra bulb to work as "repeaters" for the turn signals.

Don't know about those later ones but the 70/71 versions the lamp is at one end. So it was just a simple matter to add another lamp holder to the other end.
Actually, when you look at them, it is as if they might have been originally designed for two lamps.
