Thanks Drew, you can see the 'Blue' gasket between the metering block on the Center Carb, those are real nice. But the other gaskets are the plain Holley ones that came with the carbs I bought back in 1998. When I get the Re-Build kits from Pro-Max I'll ask for the better non-stick premium Gaskets they sell.drewcrane wrote:ya know what ed i had the same problems ,so i did just that a total rebuild, the gaskets were shot, and the base was loose as well as the float bowls i know you guys are running a six pac but the gaskets are the same material, and this crap gas we have to use sits in there and eats away at them and the get pretty rotten and soft,i mean mine were just like a piece of old soggy cardboard, and the carb ran like crap
The Holley Blue Non-Stick Gaskets are made for their brand but I'm sure Pro-Max has them for Demon carbs too.drewcrane wrote:1998., clear back in the 1900,s wow yes those non stick gaskets are good for 2 maybe 3 times of r&r but after that they are done, i plan on buying anothe set just to have cause you never know, after all the adjustments i made to mine the final time i checked the gasket and it is already a little flimsey around the edges, what gasket does that promax use are they like the demon nonstick?
