help with Mopar book

Postby firesweep59 » 14 Jan 2009 16:18

Hi, I am currently writing a new book on the Challenger's history (along with the Barracuda) and was wondering if anyone out there had a copy of the Scat Pack Brochures from 70 and 71 they could scan for me? (and the RTS for that matter). Let me know. Regards, Peter

Try these two links:

http://challenger.mpoli.fi/forum/viewto ... 2930#22930

http://challenger.mpoli.fi/forum/viewto ... 4389#24389

I also believe that you will find the RTS ad in the same thread. Happy hunting! :D

Thanks, they were all great pictures, just what I'm looking for, but still too small.

First click once on the pic to extract it.
Then in the right corner below, choose the box "Expand to regular size".
I hope it works now.

He might need very high resolution images for printing in a book.

That book has been a long time in the pipeline. I hope we will see it soon. :s017:

Maybe so. It is hard to judge what he wants by his answer. :s022: :?

You are absolutely right, I do need hi-res images. I did down load them in their largest format but still to small I'm afraid. I need someone that owns these things to scan them for me at about 600+dpi. Thanks though, Peter
PS It hasn't been that long in the pipeline, I started writing it in April! :P

I ask myself if it really will do any difference if you use a 300 dpi or a 600 dpi scanner. IsnĀ“t the crucial thing the source, such as the paper/the print of the magazine. I do not believe that you can recover a bad source, so to say. I am not an expert so I might be wrong. :s022:

Btw; Good luck with the book! :s017:

He has sent the book to the printers now. Look out for it in a few months time.

I have had a preview of the main text and it looks as if it is going to be quite good.
