How far does the vinyl top go on the side window trim? Does it tuck under the trim above the weather strip trim? My top isnt on yet and was thing I have to have it on before any side trim goes on.

I do not exactly understand what you mean but my gut feeling says YES. If I was you, I would first try with a little bit more vinyl top. If that does not work then try with a little bit less.

Yes. Tuck it under the steel trim as far as you like.
