Gas Cap to Flip Top Conversion

I'm planning on switching from the twist off gas cap on my 1970 Chally to the Flip Top and want to know what's involved in installing it.
It seems as if the trim ring would need to be screwed onto the fender, correct?
Does anyone have good instructions for this? I surely don't want to f*ck it up!!!!

Remove your gas cap.

Remove the 4 sheet metal screws you can see.

Place the trim ring and flip cap in place.

Replace the 4 screws.

You will also need the small diameter cap that seals the top of the filler neck under the flip cap.
