Hello Gentlemen, Can someone tell me how the colors go on a rear tailpanel of a 71 Chall R/T. Mine is painted all flat black, even the rear quarter and deck lid mldgs are painted black half way. In photos, I have seen the section between the surround mldgs and taillight housing painted body color, even on R/Ts. Are the mldgs supposed to painted at all? The front grill and mldgs are done the same way,the mldgs are painted half flat black. I appreciate the help.

The tail panel should be black yes.

I am not 100% sure about the mouldings but I think they were half black. They have a line on them where I think they were painted to.

I have seen moulding that had no black on at all (which is why I am not 100% sure) but they might just be replacements not painted correctly.
