And so it begins.

I have a mechanic who happens to be a mopar fan, he has a satalite and a dart and hes coming over this week to help me get the challenger up and running, if all goes well she will be back on the black top for the weekend!! Fingers crossed.

First we are going to take of the carb and give it a clean then stick it back on and start to tweak it so the mix is right, following that an oil change and top ups for the power steering, the box etc.

Plug changes also to be done.

Im getting all worked up cant wait hehe!!

I reckon the brakes need to be looked at also as she was pulling to one side when I breaked hard the last time I drove her!!

Well Mo came over on Sat, so this is how it went guys.

1. Replaced starter.
2. Took off the carb and cleaned it out.
3. The lead from the coil was severed under the rubber so coundnt see it- replaced.
4. One of the SP lead was touching off the exhaust manifold and cause the spark to die.- Replaced.
5.Replaced all the spar plugs.
6.Plugged on of the air lines on the carb.

When all of that was done the car ran like a dream.

I took her out today to a yankie car show round trip of 300km she didnt fault once.

I owe a great deal to Mo without his help I would have been lost, its a lot better having someone beside you to help out, I wouldnt have noticed those probs- Im just not that up on things yet.

But a great weekend for me I brought my Son Cian and his mate Ben they had a great day.

So guys I back on the road and happy as can be!!! Yippie!!!

I will have to concentrate on that 72 now!!
