Interested to see if anyone has any history / pictures of my dads car

Its a 1972 Challenger Rallye

Is an original 340cui

Well that was the first time that weekend he had EVER been drag racing, and he was racing my Challenger as well (which he broke :roll: :lol: ) and he had about 4 go's in the 340 and got a 15.1

Any info on that grill conversion? Did it just have '70 fenders on it? Just curious, not planning to redo my '72.

When my dad bought it, it was all original except the previous owner decided to put a 70 front grille on it. We had a 72 one for it though. So we just fitted that, and then tidyed up the rest of the car. :thumbsup:

Interesting. Did it just bolt in? I thought that the '70 grille would require new headlight buckets in a '72...any close up pictures of it? Sorry for the hi-jack...

Yes. Welding required.

Converting to the more popular 70 grille is quite common.

Going back to the original is not so common and I take my hat off to your Dad for doing that 'Nanaskin.
