Dodge Dealer wants to borrow my 73 Rallye

Postby bradburm » 01 Feb 2008 15:18

All,

I have had two local Dodge dealers call and request to borrow and park my 73 Rallye in their showroom apparently next to the new one when it is delivered to them. They want it for a minimum of 3 months.

Any thoughts on what I should ask from them both have said paying me is an issue but they can do other things. Of course they didn't offer up what other things meant.

All advice is appreciated.

Do you think lots Vodka would be a good trade (lol)?

I knew a guy who was wasked to park his Superbird in the lobby of the St Louis North assembly plant for six months. He received a brand new loaner Durango R/T with the 5.9L. After the time was up, he was offered the Durango for dirt cheap. IIRC he paid something like $10k USD for it as Mopar didn't really want the Durango back. This was 6 to 8 years ago, whenever the Durango R/T first came out.

Yes do the deal, they give you a new challenger for the duration and then when the time is up they offer it to you at a discount price, oh by the way if they go for it drive the shit out of it and clock up as many miles as you can heck tour the states, then they will have to give it to you cheap if you bang up a few 10s of miles!!!

Both Barc and Wayne have great suggestions. I was thinking... are you single and do they have any nice looking women who work there or are 'owned' or in debt to them? :wink2:

So I am down to one dealer.......and yes he is warranting any issues or s

Here is what they offered:

Employee Discount on any Chyrsler/Dodge car/truck - including new chally

15% discount on any Maintenance work

I am interested in buying a new Chally but not sure the above deal warrants enough for me to not have access to the car for 3 months............

Now, if he will throw in the vodka and arm candy (Just kidding honey), this is a done deal.

Other thoughts?
