Thanks! I think I got it now! :D

Btw; I tried to get access to more car files but it didnĀ“t work for me. I will try again later. Maybe it was something temporarily.

1. Download and install TVU Player from http://pages.tvunetworks.com/downloads/player.html
2. Start TVU Player, select Sports category from top and find channel named "53060 Wheels"
3. Wait ~15 seconds and you should get SpeedTV aka Speed Channel aka Wheels aka whatever. Picture and sound are barely acceptable, so don't expect too much as it's only ~300 kilobits/s.

Previous program was Dream Car Garage (15:30-16:00 EET, 8:30-9:00am EST). That would mean Barrett-Jackson starts at 21:00 EET / 20:00 CET / 19:00 GMT?

Too bad SpeedTV.com Program Schedule page is broken and just says "No programs found that will air within the next five weeks".

Here's link to working list of todays schedule. It'll ask for timezone and provider first. I used Eastern and Directv. After you've answered to questions either reopen same link or scroll list until you see Speed channel.

Seems to be a little low? Prices appear to be 'down' again this year I guess?

The color of that car knocked off at least $10K. A red one pretty much like it for quality went for $90K or more earlier. Look what happened to the brown metallic Hemi Cuda compared to the one that came across the stage a bit later...... it brought around $30K less than the later Hemi Cuda with a better color. From what I saw, MOPAR values are down and the other muscle cars have come up. The value playing field looks a bit more even this year. The surprise for me has been the money being brought in by the late fifties American cars...... huge cars with fins and chrome for days are pulling $200K and more. Also, watch how the auctioneers are playing the bidders. I feel the MOPARs are getting a little bit of a short hammer compared to other cars, but it's just my opinion.

this year i have noticed that barrett jackson is being unfair to the general consighner.they are kissing the asses of there regular customers stretching the hell out of every auction.do you notice how much they pause and say the same number a hundred times trying to squeeze every red penny they can get for there buddy consghners.recognize this quote "thats way below the money" it has become so obvious they cater to the people that are regulars which is wrong to do.they simply rush the other cars right along quikly if you are a small time consighner.

there are a lot less muscle cars this year because a lot of guys are just holding on to them afraid they will take a loss.a lot of the muscle cars did take a huge hit on lost money for the seller.

now is the right time to buy as it seams the muscle car market is more realistic on prices.the most a chally got was $90,000 for the 1970 model 6 packs hard top.that brown 1970 hemi with auto i feel took a big loss selling at $130,000.that seller must have been pissed and he still has to give up 8% more to barrett jackson for consighnment fee, ouch!!!

here are some of my picks for outstanding steals and bargains.
1-1970 hemi cuda $130,00
2-1969 ford talledega $42,000
3-1970 gto judge convert $110,000
4-1970 challenger 440/6 pack $78,000
5-1970 chevelle ss ls6 $80,000

I'm glad others see the event for what it is, just another good ole' boys club. I think that the plethora of clones - excuse me, "tribute cars" or "recreations" - has eaten into the value of the real-deal MOPARs, too, by flooding the market. It used to be that a buyer would have to find a restored surviving car or restore a real one. Now he can just go out and buy a copy for far less money.

Good point Jack. Those 1950's cars has me bit puzzled though, the Chrysler Letter cars I understand, but any other make made em in pretty large numbers didnt they? Nothing against them but, there are dozens of 1955-57 Chevys in my city of 60k. The 1950's Chrysler's on the other hand are as rare as gold. That 69 Ford Talledega is a pretty attractive price for an investment grade car if it's not a clone/tribute/salute or whatever the hell they call the clones!

I have just the salute for the clones and tributes, too! Speaking of clones and how easy they are getting to put together, here's another thing that bothers me.... MOPAR Performance has just come out with a repro dual quad Hemi intake manifold exactly the same as the original ones, numbers and all, and is selling them for 1/3 of the going price of the rare originals. For those of us with the original ones it's beyond annoying that a car manufacturer would sabotage the value of our carefully searched out and collected parts like that.

I feel for you Jack. They could have easily preserved the integrity and value of the originals by simply changing the size of the casting plugs diameter + or - from the original size. :frown:

Simply dating the castings like they do on the blocks would suit me just fine..... it's an integrity thing in my book.

From an article:

"Three cars pull over 1 million dollars each at US auction

Three cars sold for more than a million dollars each at the premier US car auctions, with a one-of-a-kind 1963 Chevrolet Corvette from Italy's Pininfarina pulling in 1.6 million dollars, the auctioneer said Sunday.

The week-long annual Barrett-Jackson sale of collector cars in Scottsdale, Arizona also saw buyers put out one million dollars for a brand new 2009 Corvette ZR-1 -- the first to hit the market -- before the 10-12 percent commission charged by the auctioneer.

And another one million dollars was bid for one of the sale's oldest cars, a 1928 Duesenberg dual cowl Phaeton, a favorite of Hollywood stars of the time.

Legendary race car builder Carroll Shelby, 85, was on hand at the sale to see his own personal 1969 GT500 Ford Mustang bring in 675,000 dollars, three times the estimate.

A second GT500 once owned by Shelby's son earned 330,000 dollars -- a handsome gain for the seller who paid 24,000 for it in 1991.

Highlights also included the 1966 Ford Thunderbird used in the iconic film "Thelma and Louise," which the two stars drive over a cliff into the Grand Canyon in the film's last frames.

That earned 65,000 dollars, 50 percent above the estimate, but far behind another well known Hollywood car, the 1969 Dodge Charger "General Lee" from "Dukes of Hazzard," which sold for 450,000 dollars.

Sales generally appeared weaker this year than last, though final figures won't be known until Monday. In 2007, 16 cars topped the half-million dollar mark, while this year only 11 reached that figure."

I am very upset over what they have done to the Monkee Mobile. :(

Can these big money toss-pot idiots not get it into their thick heads that RESTORATION means putting a car back to original. NOT making "improvements". :disbelief:

The Monkee Mobile now no longer looks like it did on the TV show.

That car more than anything got me into a love of American automobiles and drag racing back in the mid-60s.

I believe the Mopars are down due to ,among other things, the economy and the glut of Mopars in the last couple of years at B-J. Folks who have the B and E bodies were afraid that there would be a horde of them again this year and so they held off. I'm sure that many will be on the B-J block in the next couple of years.
Besides Shelbys seemed to be the flavor of the month this year. I was suprised that Shelby Mustangs were outselling Shelby Cobras though. The Shelby Mustangs have been the perinnial stepchild in the musclercar field for many years. Especially the later years as they were mostly badge engineered cars, after Shelby lost and Ford gained control over the build of the Shelbys. Hardly any more performance than their Mustang contemporaries. Carroll Shelby himself even decried how bad they were many years ago. One reason he and Ford split up many years ago.
But now everyone has kissed and made up seeing as how much $$$ can be made off the name.
I too was surprised at how strong the fifties cars were. The stock cars were going at around the prices they've gone for mostly the last couple of years but the modified cars were going for unreal pricing.
All in all I don't know whether I should be jealous or envious of those guys. I can tell you though that if I had the money I'd be there too, spending the kids inheritance :s004:
