What are the differences between a regular 440-4 engine and the 440-6?
1). Three Bolt cam drive instead of one bolt.
2).Valve stems were flash chromed
3). Premium crankshaft forging
4). Connecting rod forgings were heavier and wider beamed than 'LY" 440 rods were
5). Hi rise dual plane intake with three Holleys instead of standard dual plane with Carter AVS
6).Camshaft was increased in duration and lift with high rate valve springs with damper.
7).Recessed faced Crankshaft Damper was used that compensated for the increase in connecting rod weight
Can anyone else add anything?? or can someone re-print this in a neater more orderly way, I'm a horrible secretary, I enjoy watching them though
