? :?

Have you got a photo? The only holes under the seat I can think of are drain holes that should have plastic plugs in them.

hey i have that screw on plug too. when i was searching for my build sheet under the rear seat i also noticed that metal plug with screw. i would just take it appart, clean it real well and leave it as is then spray a touch of krown t40 on it to protect it from rust for good.

It is hard to get my bearings with that photo but on my 1970 car I have a third hole (bigger than the other two) with a plastic plug in it at about that position.

The screw on cap that you have looks exactly like the ones that should be over the rear shock absorbers for access to the top shock mount.

Maybe someone got them mixed up at some point in its life?

Pat just beat me to an answer there. Maybe it is a factory thing. I would just plug it or seal it with silicon.

dave i think that metal plug is stock to the car, mine also has it and the floor has a little notch cut out so that metal plug slides into place before you screw it back down.

every challenger I have ever taken apart has had this plug it should be there as you see it, with a metal plug with a screw ,just put a little seam sealer around it.

Yeah mine looks as if someone stuffed a plastic plug in one and the other has a sound deadening pad stuck over it.
