cool eddie,i really love the 1962 bubble top 409 impala. cant wait to see a photo of that biscayne. here is a photo of a 1965 corvette i used to own with a 396 425 hp motor. sold it to get the chevelle.airfuelEddie wrote::shock: I hate to say this but those cars are nice man! All muscle cars are cool. I also hate to admit this but I am recieving a 1962 Chevrolet Biscayne, been in my family since new, 2-door Post, 235 Six,(last year of that engine for Chevrolet as it was used primarily in trucks),Stripper Car with 62,000 original miles and has never been driven in the rain or snow and has no rust, corrosion, original and complete except for plugs filters ect..sorry no pics yet maybe today! It would be perfect for Nostalgia SuperStocks with a period correct 409 plant.
hey eddie-king of muscle cars for ever for 2007. sorry the z06 corvette does not count as a muscle car because it is a sports car. what ever comes out in the future, it does not really matter as my car was tops in 2007 for muscle cars. love that new challenger though but it better beat 12.4 seconds bone stock!!! my gt 500 is very quik and yes it does crank out 500 ponies with a wicked sounding super charger stock! all in fun man as they are all great to drive. my neighbour a few doors down ordered a 2008 challenger, cant wait to see her!!! also i like that ss 454 chevelle across the road from you nice colour!!airfuelEddie wrote:BTW, I dont know much about that King Cobra, it looks pretty slick! Think it will have any competition from the new Challenger? Yours has a mind numbing 500H.P. correct? The new Challenger currently has a 6.1 but it "only' makes around 425. This is going to be interesting!
hey eddie- you totally forgot about the buick grand national or the super rare gnx grand national. that was my top pick from that era and they had a V6airfuelEddie wrote:Wow, That Cobra is quick man! With a good driver any car is fair game! I dont think the Challenger is going to be able to muster that kind of power but you never know. It really doesnt matter, it's just great that they are makin em again and it's the 60's-70's all over again! Remember the 78-92 period? The 350 Corvette was king but no one could afford one.
Sneaky, I totally forgot about those cars, my friend had one once and they were fast! Of course the MoPar Turbo twinkies could surprise you as well, but the big inch V-8 was gone for a while. At least for us MoPar guys it was dismal, we lost a lot of dudes to other brands in my neck of the woods, lots of my buds drive Ford Mustangs and Camaro/Firebirds, but Pat, dude, a ranger pickup 1/2 ton with a GT-390? That must be some fun, bet the tire shop loves you man.rtse4406pack wrote:hey eddie- you totally forgot about the buick grand national or the super rare gnx grand national. that was my top pick from that era and they had a V6airfuelEddie wrote:Wow, That Cobra is quick man! Thanks Danny, it's beauty! I think I'll probably keep it original but it's fun to think about that 409 H.P. Motor with a Turbo400 and 12 bolt and of course those dog dished original Chevrolet hubcaps and all with fat rubber. It would be fun until you needed to stop or turn! It's piece of history and I have seriously thought about selling it but I couldnt with my pop and aunt still alive. I really need the money for other projects like my 512 Stroker engine buildup and I want to install a different front axle in my Power Ram W-150 4x4.rtse4406pack wrote:hey eddie nice biscayne. if i had that car i would leave it the way it is but just add a 409/425 hp motor with a tranny to handle the extra power and a rear end as well. leave the rest of the car the way it is, why? ultimate sleeper!!! also add the biggest black wall tires you can fit on those dog dish rims. that shure would be a sweet sleeper set up as i can just picture it!! also if you keep the original drive train you can always restore the car back to original after using it as a hot rod but please do not abuse that beautifull original body you have on that biscayne also guys, thanks for liking my other cars.
